Your treating team member will conduct a thorough assessment prior to performing your treatment, which includes a medical history, to ensure these types of treatments are both suitable and safe for you.

During the consultation, your treating clinician will assess the movement of the muscles of your face; and the subsequent lines and wrinkles that may have started to form as a result, and then create a proposed treatment plan, specifically for your unique needs.



The treatment itself involves injecting the anti-wrinkle toxin (which appears as a clear liquid), with a tiny needles, into the muscles of the face in the targeted treatment area. The entire injecting time is as little as twenty seconds in many cases! The procedure is quick and relatively comfortable.

It takes 4-7 days to start noticing the effects of the treatment; which will be that the muscles of the targeted area are weaker and less able to contract and animate than they were before. We consider that after fourteen days, the final results of your treatment have manifested in terms of the muscle relaxation; and that from this point onward, the lines and wrinkles on the skin will continue to soften and fade.

Our team will also provide you with all the education and knowledge required in terms of what you can do at home to adequately look after your treatment areas; to ensure the safest outcome, but also to optimise your treatment results and longevity.

The nature of these treatments mean that on the day you visit the clinic, no visible changes are evident; and the gradual results will show over a period of fourteen days.

At the end of the first two weeks post-treatment; we invite you back to see us again, for a brief review, to ensure the outcome has been optimal, and to make sure you're happy and enjoying your results

These treatments can be used ‘preventatively’ in those who have particularly strong facial muscles, and who can, even at an early age, see the signs of repetitive expressions causing damage.

Side effects can include redness to the treatment area, slight redness and swelling to the injection sites, and in some cases, small bruises.
